Hahaha no you can't. a 5 year old kid can run a 40 yard dash in about 9 seconds and you think that is good enough?? hahahahaha man thats funny. It depends on what position you play

For QB anywhere around the 5 area is good

For RB anywhere from 4.3-4.6

For WR is probably same

TE anywhere 4.5-4.8 or 4.9

Linemen anywhere in the 5.5-5.7

D line is same maybe a little faster for D ends

LB anywhere from 4.5-4.7 or 4.8

CB anywhere from 4.3-4.4 (couldnt imagine a CB with less than that)

and S 4.4 - 4.6

Maybe you can be a kicker or a punter and run a 9 second dash, but still if you can't run a 40 yard dash in 6 seconds than you wont make it bottom line. (because you have no athletic ability.

It depends on what position he wants to play, if he wants to be a RB or WR or DB heck no he wont make it but for a lineman yea
no to answer your question.

The general rule is most players can run sub 5 second 40s. Their are exceptions but most linemen can run a 40 in the 4.8 to 4.9 range.
I can run it in 4.5 seconds and I'm not in the NFL...
im with bulldog
You can probably be a punter
hell no
no no, the slowest guy in the nfl runs about a 5.7....i don't think there is anyone in the last 10 years that ran the 40 over 6...i'd bet on it.

bernie kosar was one of the slowest players, he ran his at 5.71.

offensive linemen especially now a days run a 5.0-5.6
favre runs about that fast. he's made it just fine.

marino ran that fast too... he's in the hall of fame.
