Why do the "chain gangs" in the NFL switch sidelines in the second half?

I noticed this at two Tennessee Titans games this season. In the first half of the game, the official measurement chains were on the visitors sideline, and in the second half, the chains were on the home sideline. Why do they swap at halftime?

Actually it is the same reason they change end zones. They change end zones to eliminate any unfair advantage, but since the chain gang does not provide any advantage, it is for the convenience of the teams. This way the chains will always be on the same side relative to the teams on the field. The chains start on the side OPPOSITE the press box.

to stop from people saying that they are for 1 team and not the other
Fairness. So they aren't influenced by the teams on their benches.
